Reference project

This is a large scale housing project with a small/human scale internal structure. The building consist of two elements: a horizontal and a vertical. They accomplished to have a human scale in the vertical element. They achieved to keep a human scale in the vertical element, and therefore it is integrated in the context. This reference is important, because we think the Xtra Xtra Large scale of the stadium will be well integrated in the context with the use of small scale objects. The stadium will be the start of the developement of the area. By continuing the small scale objects in the ring into the surrounding will integrate the stadium and will be a positive continuation of the further development of the area.

integration by human scale

One of the important topics of the feedback was about the lack of relation with the context. The concepts were too generic. Because the stadium is so big, it's difficult to achieve a good integration with the location. In order to solve this problem, we want to introduce a human scale in the stadium.

Day after the presentation

We got a lot of useful feedback at the presentation thursday. We chose concept three and today we'll evaluate the feedback and the concept.

Soccermatch @ de Kuip

We went to a match at the Feijenoord stadium on saturday 12 february. Feijenoord finally won with 2-1 from Heracles!! We enjoyed the match and got a good sense of the atmosphere and the amount and flow of the spectators.

Hello, welcome to our blog!

We are group 1, or as we call it 'WAN'. Bart is our Architect, Mar is the Cladding Expert, Prashanth is the Structural Designer and Erik is the Digital Design Manager.

We are in week 3 of the 8 week schedule. Last week we had the pin-up presentation on Friday. This week we have the concept presentation scheduled on thursday. We divided tasks to get ready for that and further develope our three concepts.
